Alexander Nicholson PMHNP-BC
Co-Founder & Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Alex has been a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2012. Before becoming a nurse, Alex received his B.A. in Psychology from Geneseo in 2003. After graduation, he worked in pre-schools and as “front-line” staff in children’s residential facilities and children’s shelters. Initially with an eye on traveling, Alex entered nursing school where he learned of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and began to pursue nursing as a career. After finishing his NP program at Upsate Medical University, Alex has provided, and continues to provide, psychiatric consultation/evaluation and medication management for patients ages 5-60, limited psychotherapy (for adults only) steeped in psychodynamic tradition, and growing interest in integrative medicine (certification pending).
Rachael Morey PMHNP-BC
Co-Founder & Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Rachael is a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who received her masters degree in science from Russell Sage College. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Rachael became licensed as a registered professional nurse obtaining her associates in nursing at Ellis Hospital, The Belanger School of Nursing, subsequently followed by her Bachelors in Science at SUNY Delhi. Prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Rachael worked as an RN specializing in pediatric and psychiatric nursing. Rachael has been working with the pediatric/adolescent population for the past 7 years. Rachael continues to provide psychiatric evaluations/consultations, medication management and supportive psychotherapy to individuals aged 4-65, while previously providing this care in a variety of settings including outpatient/ inpatient psychiatric settings and intensive outpatient programming. Rachael is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. Rachael enjoys spending time boating on Sacandaga lake, traveling with her family and spending time with her two young children and dog Carter.
Sarah LaRose PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Sarah is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management to children, adolescents, and adults. She received her Masters degree in Nursing from Russel Sage College, and holds a BA in Biology and Masters of Science in Education, both from The College of Saint Rose. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Sarah worked as an RN in the Surgical and Neuro ICU at Albany Medical Center. She has several years experience working in the inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. When not working, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Stephanie Guice PMHNP-BC, PNP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Stephanie is a dual board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, along with pediatric primary care. She received her master’s degree from Stony brook University and her post master’s certificate from Binghamton University. Stephanie has 25 years in the field of nursing, with the last 8 years spent as a nurse practitioner in a pediatricians office and in a residential setting for traumatized children.
Stephanie is passionate about providing quality, compassionate and comprehensive mental health care, by providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management and supportive psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults.
In Stephanie’s spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with her husband and 3 kids.
Ashley Kennedy PMHNP-BC, FNP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner
Ashley has been a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2021. She has been working in medicine since obtaining her bachelors degree in nursing in 2010. She provides psychiatric evaluations/consultations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy to individuals aged 16-65. Ashley enjoys spending her downtime with family and friends, and reading.
Stephanie Gengel RN, BSN
NPP Intern
Stephanie is currently completing her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Russell Sage College. She plans to pursue board certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner after graduating in the Spring of 2024. Prior to pursuing this degree, Stephanie obtained her Associates of Science in Nursing from SUNY Adirondack in 2016 and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2018. Stephanie has been practicing as a registered professional nurse for seven years, five of which she spent specializing in psychiatry. She has experience working with pediatric, adolescent and adult patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. As a graduate student, Stephanie has been developing skills in evaluation, consultation, medication management and supportive psychotherapy in both the inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. In her free time, Stephanie is an avid volleyball player and coach and enjoys spending time with her family and cat, Ozzy.

Jessica Ramirez
Office Manager
Jessica Ramirez is NPP Consultants office manager having started with us in October 2023. We feel lucky to have found Jessica when we did and has been an essential piece of the practice since she's come on board. Jessica came with considerable experience working in administrative roles including offices serving those with mental health concerns. Her references at the time had described Jessica as "detail-oriented", "organized", "reliable", among other notable descriptions of her work ethic. We've certainly recognized these attributes ourselves and benefit from them immensely. Jessica is in the office attending to patient requests and our office needs Mondays-Thursdays 7am-5pm.
Bobye Lieberman
Head of Billing Department
Bobye Lieberman heads up our Billing Department and has been providing medical billing services for over 15 years. She is well versed in all the ins-and-outs of various insurance requirements for claim submission as well as credentialing and medical invoicing. She has been with NPP Consultants since its initial inception and welcomes questions from clients about their insurance claims and invoices. When not working, Bobye enjoys her time with her many grandchildren and volunteering with non-profit organizations.
